Like many people reading this post many showman are also remembering loved ones lost in conflicts over the years. The photo you see is “The Fun of The Fair Spitfire” during WW2. The Showman’s Guild of Great Britain and Ireland raised funds, so they could gift this spitfire to help the war effort, while many of our men were helping the war effort. Be it on the frontline, or in roles needed at home, our Wife’s, Mum’s and Daughters were keeping the funfairs running to help fund the spitfire, while also bringing a little light relief in those dark times.Lest We Forget. ...
